Who is Tony Blazonczyk’s New Phaze? On the surface, they are a polka band with a set list of traditional and modern style polkas and a passionate yet humble attitude. Their song library contains not only Polka’s,
but a mixture of traditional American Music as well.
If you take a good look at the band, you will find years of experience and success both regionally and nationally. They have played many major festivals throughout the years and have shared stages with many well known ethnic and American artists. Tony Blazonczyk’s New Phaze was also awarded Best Song of 2008 – Seeing My Father In Me Polka. Recently they were Nominated for Best Polka Entertainer for the year 2010 by the Chicago Music Awards.
Tony Blazonczyk’s New Phaze has released 4 Polka CD’s and are currently working on their 5th CD.
Bassist/Leader Tony Blazonczyk has been performing in the polka field for the past 23 years. Influenced by his father,Grammy Award winner Eddie Blazonczyk Sr. of the Versatones, he followed in his footsteps playing polka music. Having the chance to work next to the finest musicians in the industry and performing with many bands live or in the recording studio has made Tony re-direct his focus on New Phaze where he has finally found his home.
